Wheaton High School was established in 1954 and under went construction to replace the former original building. The new high school is 330,200 square feet, tracking LEED Silver and houses 1,700 students. Located on a joint campus with Thomas Edison High School of Technology, the replacement school embraces the spontaneity of learning. The new building was designed with features to save energy, conserve water and improve indoor environmental quality.


Polysonics work with the design team for building wide acoustics for LEED as well as theater performance and rehearsal space acoustics. Also a part of Polysonics' design were theater systems including performance audio + video, theater production lighting/dimming, theater rigging and curtain systems.
