The new 452,000 SF Seneca Valley High School is the largest in the state of Maryland and twice as large as the previous high school building. The new construction includes two main sections; a four story classroom wing and two story public wing. The school includes a Career and Technology Education wing that offers 14 CTE programs. The public wing houses the 900-seat auditorium, gymnasium, athletic facilities, and the cafeteria.
Polysonics designed the AV, IT systems for the Auditorium & TV studio along with building wide Interior LEED Acoustics systems for the new high school. The auditorium systems included house acoustical ceiling/clouds design, house acoustical wall design, acoustical stage/band shell design, performance FOH sound reinforcement and performance monitor system, performance lighting, fixtures, and control, performance motorized and non-motorized rigging, stage curtain and curtain track package. Specialty spaces included Theater/Auditorium, TV Studio, Gymnasium, core learning spaces, Band & Choral Room.
