The US General Services Administration built a $200 million, 575,000-sq-ft consolidated headquarters for the National Cancer Institute at Johns Hopkins University, Montgomery County Campus as part of the Shady Grove Life Sciences Center, making the Shady Grove area a national epicenter for cancer research. The building provides a state of the art home for the National Cancer Institute’s scientific research institution and 2,400 of its employees. The project was LEED Gold certified.

Polysonics was part of both the Core and Shell and the Tenant Fit Out design teams, and provided audio, video, acoustics, phone, and IT network systems design consulting services. These services span the entire building and encompass numerous video conferencing systems, video walls, conference rooms, training rooms, meeting rooms, conference center, multipurpose auditorium, fitness center, public spaces, lobbies, and robust IT and IP systems for a significant number of offices and intensive research laboratories.
