Polysonics has designed all of the acoustics and technology systems for the new Franklin County Courthouse. This LEEDTM Gold-Accredited Facility contains 32 courtrooms capable of state of the art technology along with acoustical solutions designed to meet all GSA standards. Technology systems designed include robust telecommunications twisted pair and fiber optic cable plants for both county, court, and common equipment; audio and voice reinforcement systems; digital recording, control systems; video teleconferencing; streaming media systems and a variety of local and distributed audiovisual systems.
Each courtroom contains fiber optic connections for several broadcast television cameras that feed the first-floor press room or a connection pedestal outside for media trucks. The new courthouse is connected to the existing data centers within the Hall of Justice via multiple fiber optic links with provisions made for a wireless backup link as well.
With the integration of these new multi-media designs, presenting evidence, hearing testimonies, language interpretation, and transferring of information has never been easier.
