As part of the 2012 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) for Arlington Public Schools, Ashlawn Elementary School was renovated and an addition constructed to expand its student capacity from 459 to 684 students, due to increased enrollment. The two story addition is approximately 26,700 square feet. The renovation and addition are similar in scope to the McKinley Elementary school project, also in Arlington.
Polysonics design services included interior acoustics, core learning space acoustics, mechanical equipment isolation, HVAC and mechanical noise control, air handling units noise control, corridor air supply units noise control and elevator noise control.
